This Government Ayurved College, Nanded is established in 1956, located in the heart of city, within the 11 acres land. Nanded is one of the important city of Marathwada region & is the historical and holy place for Sikh community. Today this institute comprises of Ayurveda College, Well equipped Ayurveda Hospital a and also having over 100 acres land for herbal garden, just 20 kms away from city.

This Government Ayurved College is recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine and affiliated to Maharashtra university of health sciences, Nashik. The College runs regular University Courses for Graduate degree in Ayurveda (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery, B.A.M.S.), Postgraduate Courses in Ayurveda to award Doctor of Medicine/ Master of Surgery in Ayurveda i.e. M.D.(Ayu)/M.S.(Ayu) in respective specialization of Ayurvedic Medicine & Ph.D. in respective specialization of ayurveda. Five Departments have been recognized by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik (Maharashtra State) for carrying out research for Doctorate Degree(Ph.D Degree in Ayurveda).

This Government Ayurved Hospital, which is attached to the Government Ayurved College, is a destination for patients of all diseaes seeking Ayurveda remedies from all over the globe. Equipped with 230 beds for in house treatment, the Out Patient Department attends to arround 500 patients daily. Suvarna Prashan Concept, Ksharsutra Therapy, Panchkarma Therapy, Family Planning Center, NICU, IOL Center of this Hospital, which has gained an excellent repute in the society. The Institution can boast of a good leadership and the expert faculty with experienced staff members.

In the Premises of this Government Ayurved college the Government Ayurved & Unani Pharmacy with well established Drug Testing Laboratory is situated, which is attached to this institute. Government of Maharashtra has established this manufacturing unit on 8th Nov 1957 for supplying good quality ayurved & unani medicines, with capacity to manufacture powders, pills, tablets, bhasmas, liquids and asavarishtas on medium scale in Nanded. This manufacturing unit has schedule T GMP complying departments as well as a sophisticated Drug Testing Laboratory on its premises. The unit has an experienced workforce of 76 workmen and requisite amount of support staff and technical manpower on site. The unit has over 113 licensed ayurvedic products and over 125 unani products registered and duly approved by FDA.
